Resonance.live ("we", "our", "the platform") is a live co-reaction streaming service. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. By using our platform you agree to these practices.
We are committed to minimal data collection. We never sell your personal data.
Account data – email address, display name, username, and avatar image you provide on signup.
Usage data – sessions you attend or host, reactions sent, votes cast, gifts exchanged, and timestamps of these events.
Device & technical data – IP address, browser type, operating system, and connection quality indicators (for WebRTC diagnostics only).
Financial data – coin purchase history and gift transaction records. Full payment card data is never stored by us; it is handled by our payment processor (Stripe).
Coins are a virtual in-platform currency. They have no real-world monetary value outside the platform and cannot be transferred to external accounts unless you are an eligible Creator requesting a payout.
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We store only a Stripe customer reference ID and summarised transaction records. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank details.
Creator payouts are subject to identity verification (KYC) requirements and minimum thresholds described in our Terms of Service.
When you accept a Jury Seat, your browser will request access to your camera and microphone via the standard WebRTC browser permission prompt. We do not record or store your camera or audio feed. Streams are peer-to-peer or passed through ephemeral relay servers and are not archived.
Voice reactions you explicitly record and submit are stored temporarily for the duration of the session and deleted within 24 hours of session end.
We do not use your data for advertising profiling, and we do not share it with advertisers.
We share data only with the following categories of service providers, under strict data-processing agreements:
We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the platform.
All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3. Data at rest is encrypted by our infrastructure provider. We use Row-Level Security (RLS) policies at the database layer so users can only access their own data.
Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only and protected by multi-factor authentication.
Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Contact below). Upon verified deletion request, personal data is purged within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or financial compliance (e.g., payout records retained for 7 years).
Session metadata (title, timestamps, vote counts) may be retained indefinitely in anonymised or aggregated form.
Resonance.live does not host video content directly. We link to content on YouTube and other third-party platforms. Copyright claims related to linked content should be directed to the host platform.
If you believe user-generated content on our platform (e.g., voice reactions, profile images) infringes your copyright, contact us at the address below with a formal DMCA notice.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
EU/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
We may update this policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
